Introduction to Create International

After my coworkers and I found Komland Independence Movement in 2017, the major obstacle for us to publicize the idea of Komland independence has been the poor popularity of Komland/Jiangxi; simply put, lets face it, we are not Hong Kong or Shanghai, which are well known to the world for at least a century. And the consequence of the lack of popularity is obvious: we can not locate too much material in English as the inspiration to start our publicity campaign, which is why we still focus on the publicity in Chinese.

Therefore, we can hardly find any words to express our excitement when we discovered the website of the organization Create Internationalwhose mission is the localization of Christianity; that is, to make films about Christianity in vernaculars or to translate Bible into respective vernaculars.

To express our gratitude(we find the words eventually), we immediately wrote an email to them, and we will post the email below so you would know how grateful we are:

Dear Create International:

We are Komland Independence Movement, an organization that aims to free our motherland, Komland, or Jiangxi, from the occupation of Communist China. For the past century, since we are known as Confucians, we are normally but wrongly identified as Chinese and our cultural and linguistic uniqueness are often forgotten by the world. Therefore, one can only imagine the ecstasy we are in when we found that you, thanks to the Merciful HIM, have not forgotten our people.

We really like the documentary In Search of Truth where you appealed for the spiritual needs of us Kom people(Gan is the mandarin spelling of Kom) and we want to express our special gratitude for your classification of Kom as a minority group instead of the majority Han people. Also, the publicity film Changed Lives made us all teary just by listening to the familiar tones. In the film, we truly feel the heartbeat of our city that comes to life never before on the screen: we can see the girl who lives next door and never quit complaining about her stubborn mother; we can see the lovely lady who is kind but credulous. This is a miracle and for that, we again thank you for you kindness.

One of our colleagues remembered the time when he first realized the existence of preachers, who is a lovely couple that came across the world from South Africa to East Asia to teach English and meanwhile spread the love of Jesus. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Today, there is no better explanation for this sentence.

Thank you, Warmest Regards and Sincerely yours
Blade

And please dont forget to check the website of Create International. For Cathaysian patriots, please be noted that there are other minority groups now imprisoned in China who have their voices in Create International, including Manchu, Hui, Tu, Tujia, Zhuang people.

Create International
The vision of Create International is to communicate the message of Jesus Christ in ways that people can understand from their cultural and linguistic background, using tools that can be widely circulated. Dramatic films, evangelistic artwork, websites, indigenous music – God has given us creative strategies to make His message known among the nations.

PS:
There are blessings for Komlish people if you look for them harder. We also find the website of United Bible Societies(UBS), whose aim also includes translation of Bible into vernacular languages. Unfortunately, Kom language are now not in process, despite the description of Kom/Gan is added on the website, indicating a potential plan for the translation.

Chinese, Gan, also known as Jiangxinese, Kan, Xi, is a language of China.
It has over 21,700,000 users in the Hubei and Jiangxi provinces: including parts of Anhui, Chongyang, Dachi, Jiahu, and Xianning; Fujian and Hunan provinces. Jing’an, Nanchang city, and Xiuhui (Chang-Jing); Hunan (Liuyang); Yichun (Ichun), Jiangxi (Yi-Liu).
Dialects include; Chang-Jing, Yilu (Yi-Liu), Ji-Cha, Fu-Guang, Ying-Yi, Nanchang, Datong, Leizi, Dongsui, Hauiyue. Marginally intelligible with Mandarin [cmn] and Wu [wuu] Chinese. Lexical similarity: with Hakka Chinese [hak]. A member of macrolanguage Chinese [zho].
Nanchang is representative dialect.

In order to continue to serve and support the Bible ministry in China after the Cultural Revolution, UBS established the China Partnership (CP) team dedicated to work with the Church in China on behalf of the UBS Fellowship.
UBS partnership with the Chinese Church came about when the Church in China had a vision of printing and distributing Chinese Bibles in China. This massive historical project became possible due to the coordinated fund-raising efforts of 37 member Bible Societies and two UBS Regional Centers.
